Abstract

- To be the institution standing between the institutions and other centers of scientific research. - Collect the scientific content in one place to be easy and accessible. - Provide scientific production and encourage the researcher to freely access to scientific production through personal deposit or self-archiving. - Storage and conservation in the long term digital assets of the institution, including non-published ones. - Evaluate the researches and manage the content of scientific research groups. Importance of the study: - - Increase the highlight of the academic institution and highlight its position between the Sudanese universities in particular and the world Universities in general. - Maintaining the research produced by the institution (intellectual production). - Providing free access to research published by the repository in the university. Methodology of the study: The searcher used descriptive and analytical approach. Study gather information tools: The researcher has used of the following tools: A. Interview conducted on a number of employees of the university libraries on the subject under study. (B) Note: The researcher noticed in virtue of specialization and administrative work closely challenges facing the digital university libraries researched and worked through a comprehensive scientific observation. Findings of the Study: - Digital repositories at the University of West Kordofan experience has achieved its objectives in the service of university scientific research in particular and society in general. - West Kordofan University Libraries participation in open-source library systems have caused dramatic changes in cognitive services. - Search mail in the provision of services to researchers and scientific research system of shares and specialists are very fast. Most Important Recommendations of the Study: There are many challenges and difficulties faced by the construction of the repository in West Kordofan University libraries, especially Sudanese university libraries in general: - There must be digital repositories building for different academic departments and academic counterparts in research centers, and specialized scientific societies. - Adopt the (Sudanese Association for Libraries and Information) and create a digital repository Arab specialist in the field of library and information. - Include courses for sections of libraries and Sudanese information thematic units on the subject of digital repositories in terms of construction, management and maintenance, and therefore need the labor market for those skills. - The need for a programmer trainee for the system and vocabulary follows a digital warehouse management and libraries. - Increase the number of professionals working in the system of libraries and information. - There must be intensified training courses for the employees of libraries at Sudanese universities so that they can deal with the systems easily and quickly.

- أن تكون للمؤسسة مكانة بين مؤسسات ومراكز الأبحاث العلمية إقليميا ً وعالمياً . - جمع المحتوى العلمي في مكان واحد حتى يسهل الوصول إليه. - توفير المصادر العلمية وتشجيع الباحث للوصول الحر إلى الإبتكار العلمي من خلال الإيداع الشخصي أو الأرشفة الذاتية. - التخزين والحفظ على المدى البعيد للأصول الرقمية للمؤسسة بما في ذلك غير المنشورة. - تقييم البحوث و إدارة مجموعات البحوث العلمية. تنبع أهمية هذه الدراسة من :- - زيادة تسليط الضوء على هذه المؤسسة الأكاديمية وإبراز مكانتها بين الجامعات السودانية بصفة خاصة والجامعات العالمية عموما . - الحفاظ على البحوث المنتجة من خلال المؤسسة (الإنتاج الفكري) . - توفير الوصول الحر للبحوث المنشورة من خلال المستودع الرقمي بالجامعة . منهج الدراسة :استخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي . :- أدوات جمع معلومات الدراسة استخدمت الباحثة في دراستها الأدوات التالية : أ- المقابلة: أجرت الباحثة مقابلات بحثيه مع عدد من منسوبي المكتبات بالجامعة حول الموضوع محل الدراسة . ب- الملاحظة: لاحظت الباحثة بحكم التخصص والعمل الإداري عن قرب التحديات التي تواجه االمستودع الرقمي بمكتبات الجامعة المبحوثه وعملت من خلال الملاحظة العلميه بصورة شاملة . توصلت الدراسة الى عدة نتائج أهمها : - إن تجربة المستودعات الرقمية بجامعة غرب كردفان قد حققت اهدافها المنشوده في خدمة البحث العلمي بالجامعة بصفه خاصة والمجتمع بصفه عامه . - إن مكتبات جامعة غرب كردفان باشتراكها في أنظمة المكتبات مفتوحة المصدر قد أحدثت تطورات هائله في خدماتها المعرفيه . - أسهم نظام البحث الالكتروني في تقديم خدمات للباحثين والبحث العلمي وللمختصين بصورة سريعة جدا
